Follow the Fox Eventing Experience days
Spend the day behind the scenes and shadow Caz!
This experience is ideal for anyone who is aiming to compete at a British Eventing one day event or those who wish to find out more about what goes on behind the scenes.
You will spend the day shadowing me as I compete one of my horses at a BE event!
I am a BHS CCH (BHSAI), Intermediate Stable Manager, UKCC2 and have been fortunate to have evented at intermediate (one advanced) and also completed international 2* three-day Events on three different horses. You will be in safe hands and will have the chance to shadow what I do at an event and ask any questions which should help you prepare for your own eventing day.
I cannot guarantee a double clear, sub 20 dressage (or 30 for that matter!) but I can promise a fun and informative day!

Frequently asked questions
Why is it called Follow the Fox?
The name Orange Fox Eventing has come about as my maiden name is Fox and orange is my favourite colour!
Is entry to the event included in the fee?
Sadly due to fluctuations in entrance fees across the events I cannot include the entrance fee. Once you have booked onto the course it is highly recommended you purchase a spectator ticket as soon as you are able to so that you can secure your entry.
Are the many spaces per day?
No, training spaces are limited to 6 only so booking early is advised
Can children attend?
Yes, children over the age of 12yo are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult (one adult per child due to limited spaces - see separate family ticket price).
How do I know when to arrive?
The provisional timetable for an event is often published 10 days in advance, with actual times being released a few days before. This can make setting an arrival time very difficult but you should assume it could anytime from very early morning to lunchtime! Once the provisional timetable is released I will be able to provide a provisional arrival time (it will be reasonably accurate).
Do we meet you at your horsebox or somewhere else?
We will meet you all at the horsebox, I feel it is important for you to see what we do to prepare for competitions so being at the lorry will allow for this experience. Our live location (or What3Words location) will be shared to the dedicated WhatsApp group on arrival so you can find us.
What do I need to bring for the day?
- Sensible footwear - the ground can be undulating so a moderate level of fitness and appropriate footwear is advisable
- Clothes for different weathers - sadly we cannot control the weather
- Money for food - there will be eateries on site, sadly we cannot provide food. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch but we do not have any fridge space.
- Folding chair - you should bring along a chair to keep by the lorry so you can have some relaxing time and enjoy the day comfortably.
Can I take photos/videos?
While we are very happy for you to take photos for your own personal use as a memento of the day we respectfully ask that you do not post any to social media or any picture sharing sites without our permission.
I would love to come along but I'm worried about helping around a strange horse?
You won't be coming along to groom for us so don't worry. The day is mostly an observation, talks, demo, Q&A day. As you are likely to be eventing alone or with a helper, we felt being able to observe what we do at an event will be more useful to you.
Can I bring my dogs along?
Unfortunately as I often bring mine and one is frightened of other dogs I cannot allow dogs to be brought along to the day sorry.
Can I leave my belongings?
I would advise anyone to keep their valuables in their car or on their person
What if I want to come along but don't intend to do any eventing?
You are more than welcome to book and join us for the day. The day will be focused around eventing so the talks will be aimed at those who are planning to enter, but you are still welcome to come along and shadow, we welcome anyone who wants a fun day out!
What is your refund policy?
Refunds more than 7 days prior to the experience day will receive a full refund less £3* admin fee.
If you need to cancel within 7 days of the event you will not receive a refund unless your place can be filled.
In the event of the horse being unable to run, you will be offered to move to a different day or receive a full refund less £3* admin fee.
*The admin fee includes the 0.75p booking fee
What is the ticket price?
